What this version uses, the details still to be confirmed, and your rights over your data.
Version dated
Controller and scope
This notice covers Portovierno, the editorial project described in the legal notice. The controller’s identity, address and contact details must be completed before public launch.
The current version is a public static site kept in preparation mode and noindex until its legal information is approved. It offers no accounts, comments, newsletter or contact form. No advertising tool, analytics service or active affiliate link is installed in its code. The planner includes an OpenStreetMap map that loads only when you request it.
This notice must be reviewed before any additional service is enabled and whenever processing changes materially.
Browsing and search
Displaying pages requires technical exchanges between your browser and the server: an IP address, requested address, date and browser information may be processed to deliver pages and diagnose errors.
Filters in this version run in your browser. A search submitted from the homepage appears in the page address, so it may be recorded in browser history and server logs. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into search.
For the future public site, processing needed for delivery and security is proposed on the basis of the publisher’s legitimate interests, subject to documenting necessity and balancing visitors’ rights. The actual logs retained, recipients, retention periods and storage locations must be confirmed with the host. No invented retention period is presented as already implemented.
Contact and data requests
No data is currently submitted through a contact form on this site. The contact email is not yet active.
When a contact channel opens, necessary data will include your reply address, message and information you choose to provide. Its purpose will be to handle your enquiry; it must not automatically be reused for marketing.
Ordinary enquiries may be handled on the basis of the legitimate interest in communicating with readers. Handling data-rights requests will rely on applicable legal obligations. The email provider, authorised access and retention rules must be confirmed before activation. Without a reply address or sufficient details, it may not be possible to handle an enquiry.
Cookies and browser storage
The current code sets no cookies and uses neither local nor session storage to track readers. It embeds no advertising pixels or automatically loaded third-party services. This version therefore records no consent choices.
Cookies belonging to the browser, extensions or the tool used to view this preview are not cookies installed by Portovierno’s code. Any cookies or security mechanisms introduced by public hosting must be checked before launch.
If non-essential trackers are introduced, they must wait for valid consent, with accessible ways to refuse and withdraw it. Continuing to browse does not indicate agreement. See the CNIL’s cookie guidance in French.
Interactive map
The planner map stays disabled until you click “Show map”. The place list and summary selections work without loading the map background. Once activated, your browser requests images of the displayed area from tile.openstreetmap.org, an OpenStreetMap Foundation service. This service receives information including your IP address, technical browser information, requested areas and the site’s origin. See its privacy policy.
Your notes, budget and saved places are not sent in those requests; moving or zooming the map does request new areas from the provider. No access to your GPS location is requested. “Disable map” stops future loading; it does not erase requests already made. Activation is not remembered after reloading the page.
“Google Maps directions” links open Google Maps with the specified destination only after you click. Google’s own policies then apply. The site does not embed Google Maps scripts.
Other providers and external links
The pages currently load no advertising or analytics services. Images are served with the site. Following an external link opens a separate service with its own policies and at least establishes a connection to that service.
The static site is currently hosted by Netlify; the domain and DNS zone are managed through OVHcloud. Any professional email provider remains to be specified. The register of recipients, processors and processing locations must be completed before commercial launch. Any transfer outside the European Economic Area must be identified along with its applicable safeguard; exclusively European hosting is not guaranteed at this stage.
Future Booking.com or Amazon attribution mechanisms must be documented after programme acceptance and before activation. See our affiliate disclosure.
Your rights and how to exercise them
Depending on the processing and GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of your data. The right to object applies in particular to processing based on legitimate interests. Portability applies under the conditions for automated processing based on consent or a contract.
You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. The site currently conducts no profiling or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
A dedicated contact is to complete on the contact page before public collection begins. Requests should generally receive a response within one month; complexity or the number of requests may justify a two-month extension, with notice within the first month. Proportionate identity evidence will be requested only where there is reasonable doubt. See the CNIL’s access-request guidance in French.
You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, without losing other available remedies.
Security and younger readers
Do not include identity documents, bank details, booking references or health information in an ordinary enquiry. Channels needed for sensitive exchanges must be defined before use.
The site does not offer a service intended to collect children’s information. Family travel content requires no information about readers’ children. Public hosting security and retention settings will be checked before launch.
