In Paris, “family room” can mean four very different things: one larger room with a sofa bed, connecting rooms, a suite, or simply a triple. We therefore prioritised hotels whose listings show clear configurations for three or four guests.

The shortlist

  • Novotel Paris Les Halles: for the most central location and several four-person room types.
  • Hotel Malte - Astotel: for the Louvre area, a smaller scale and clear family touches.
  • Hotel 34B - Astotel: for two-bedroom family rooms and a practical district.
  • Hotel Eiffel Blomet: for connecting rooms and an indoor pool.
  • Hôtel de la Porte Dorée: for a more residential base with the Metro almost at the door.

Novotel Paris Les Halles — easiest for a first trip

Novotel Paris Les Halles on Booking.com sits beside one of central Paris’s biggest transport hubs. Its listing includes rooms with two queen beds or sofa-bed configurations for up to four people. Booking.com showed 8.1/10 from more than 2,200 reviews and 9.3 for location.

Why choose it: a family can reduce transfers and get back easily after a long day.

Accept that: such a central location is rarely the quietest or cheapest option.

Hotel Malte - Astotel — central without a large-hotel feel

Hotel Malte - Astotel on Booking.com is on Rue de Richelieu, around 650 metres from the Louvre according to its listing. Booking.com showed 9.2/10 from around 1,000 reviews and 9.6 for location. The hotel lists family rooms and a children’s play area with toys.

Why choose it: you keep the feel of a smaller hotel while staying close to the Louvre, Opéra and several Metro lines.

Check: the exact family setup. Connecting rooms and a single room with an extra bed offer very different privacy.

Hotel 34B - Astotel — two proper rooms for four

Hotel 34B - Astotel on Booking.com is in the 9th arrondissement. Its listing showed 8.8/10 from more than 2,600 reviews and includes a Family Room - 2 Bedrooms for four, as well as a split-level apartment.

This is one of the clearest options for parents travelling with older children: everyone gets a proper bed rather than relying only on a sofa bed.

Accept that: you are farther from the Seine than Les Halles or the Louvre, although the district remains very convenient.

Hotel Eiffel Blomet — pool and connecting rooms

Hotel Eiffel Blomet on Booking.com is in the 15th arrondissement and lists an indoor pool, sauna and hammam. Booking.com showed 8.9/10 from more than 1,700 reviews. One category is a family room made up of two connecting rooms, listed for four guests.

Why choose it: a pool can completely change the end of the day with children after hours of walking.

Accept that: the Eiffel Tower is listed around 2.1 km away; the hotel name does not mean you are directly beside the monument.

Hôtel de la Porte Dorée — immediate Metro access and Bois de Vincennes

Hôtel de la Porte Dorée on Booking.com is near Bois de Vincennes. Its listing places Porte Dorée Metro only a very short walk away and showed 8.7/10 from more than 1,300 reviews. Family rooms are available.

Why choose it: you trade an ultra-central address for a more residential area, straightforward Metro access and proximity to the Bois de Vincennes.

Accept that: western Paris attractions take longer to reach.

Which one for your family?

  • First trip, location above everything: Novotel Les Halles.
  • Two children and you want separation: 34B - Astotel or Eiffel Blomet.
  • Smaller central hotel: Malte - Astotel.
  • Calmer area with easy Metro: Porte Dorée.
  • Children who will value a pool: Eiffel Blomet.

Before paying, compare the total cost for the whole family, not the headline room price. Add breakfast, applicable city tax, cancellation terms and—most importantly—the children’s ages. The same room may or may not be offered depending on occupancy rules.
