Where to stay near the Eiffel Tower: 5 Paris hotels to compare

Five hotels around the Eiffel Tower, from the 7th to Trocadéro, compared by views, Metro access, walking distance and the trade-off each one brings.

Guide checked on 13 September 2026. A room “near the Eiffel Tower” does not automatically have a tower view; a room sold with an Eiffel Tower view needs to be booked in the corresponding room category.

Staying near the Eiffel Tower can be excellent on a first trip, but the right option depends on what you actually want: a five-minute walk to the monument, a tower view from the room, easy access to Trocadéro, or a more residential neighbourhood.

RATP lists Bir-Hakeim (line 6) and Trocadéro (lines 6 and 9) among the closest Metro stations to the Eiffel Tower. École Militaire on line 8 is also useful for the 7th arrondissement side.

The five hotels to compare

  • Hôtel La Comtesse: for explicitly bookable view categories and École Militaire.
  • Hôtel Gustave: for the 15th and roughly a ten-minute walk.
  • Passy Eiffel: for a residential base close to Trocadéro.
  • Eiffel Trocadéro: for staying directly in the Trocadéro area.
  • Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel: for being almost at the foot of the tower in a large hotel.

Hôtel La Comtesse — for booking a view explicitly

Hôtel La Comtesse on Booking.com is on Avenue de Tourville in the 7th. Booking.com showed 8.9/10 from around 740 reviews, with 9.5 for location. Several room categories explicitly mention side or frontal Eiffel Tower views.

The listing places École Militaire roughly 180 metres away and the Eiffel Tower around a 15-minute walk away.

Check: do not book a standard room assuming it will have the same view as the photographs. The exact category name matters.

Hôtel Gustave — the 15th-arrondissement compromise

Hôtel Gustave on Booking.com is on Rue Viala in the 15th. Its listing places it about ten minutes on foot from the Eiffel Tower and 100 metres from Dupleix Metro. Booking.com showed 8.9/10 from around 845 reviews and 9.3 for location.

Why choose it: you stay very close to the monument while sleeping in a district that feels more everyday than the Champ-de-Mars.

Check: if the view is important, select only a category that explicitly promises one.

Passy Eiffel — a more residential base

Passy Eiffel on Booking.com is on Rue de Passy in the 16th. Booking.com showed 8.6/10 from more than 1,000 reviews, with 9.5 for location. The listing places Trocadéro roughly 700 metres away and says some rooms have Eiffel Tower views.

Best for: travellers who want the tower nearby but prefer Passy’s shops and residential streets to the most tourist-heavy blocks.

Eiffel Trocadéro — for the Trocadéro side

Eiffel Trocadéro on Booking.com is on Rue Benjamin Franklin in the 16th. Its listing showed 8.6/10 from around 1,600 reviews and 9.6 for location.

Staying here puts you on the Trocadéro side, useful for early-morning or evening views and for Metro lines 6 and 9.

Accept that: you cross the Seine to reach the Champ-de-Mars. It is not a major inconvenience, but it is the opposite side of the monument.

Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel — the most immediate option

Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel on Booking.com is on Avenue de Suffren. Booking.com showed 8.1/10 from more than 5,000 reviews, with 9.5 for location. Its listing gives roughly five minutes on foot to the Eiffel Tower, and some rooms or suites have major views.

Why choose it: maximum simplicity on a short stay focused on the monument.

Accept that: prices are generally high and this is a large hotel. Compare deposit conditions and the exact room category carefully.

Which side should you choose?

Choose the 7th / École Militaire for monumental Paris and walks towards Invalides. Choose the 15th / Dupleix to remain close while getting more everyday neighbourhood life. Choose Passy / Trocadéro for the classic views and a more residential 16th-arrondissement feel.
