Guide checked on 13 September 2026. In Marrakech, “pool” can mean a courtyard plunge pool, a small indoor pool or several separate pools. Always confirm dimensions, depth, heating and access hours.

Searching for a Marrakech riad with a pool produces plenty of options, but the word does not always describe the same experience. Some pools are mainly for cooling off after the souks; others are places where you can spend a meaningful part of the afternoon.

We selected five riads whose public listings describe a pool clearly, then compared location, feedback and the main trade-off.

The five to check first

  • Riad Al Rimal & Spa: for a listed heated pool and a central spa stay.
  • Riad Matham: for an indoor pool and a very strong Medina location.
  • Riad Kheirredine: for several pools and a higher-end experience.
  • Riad l’Oiseau du Paradis: for an indoor plunge pool and a very large review base.
  • Riad Palais Sebban: for two listed pools, a rooftop and Laksour.

Riad Al Rimal & Spa — for proper downtime

Riad Al Rimal & Spa on Booking.com lists a heated pool, rooftop hot tub, spa, restaurant and central Medina position. Its listing showed a location score around 9.5 when checked.

This is the most natural choice if “pool” means having somewhere to genuinely unwind between outings.

Check: whether heating is operating on your dates, pool hours, hot-tub access and which wellness facilities are included rather than paid separately.

Riad Matham — indoor pool and a strong central position

Riad Matham on Booking.com is in Kaat Ben Nahid, roughly eight minutes on foot from Jemaa el-Fna according to its listing. Booking.com showed about 9.6/10 from more than 750 reviews, with a similarly strong location score.

The pool is listed as indoor, while the property also has a roof terrace and steam bath.

Best for: someone who wants a very central riad and a place to cool down, rather than a resort-style swimming pool.

Riad Kheirredine — several pools and higher-end service

Riad Kheirredine on Booking.com sits in Sidi Ben Slimane in the northern Medina. Booking.com listed four pools, alongside a hammam, panoramic terrace, restaurant and transfer arrangements.

Feedback on the listing was particularly strong for service.

Accept that: it generally belongs to a higher budget tier and requires learning the route through the Medina. Ask which pools are open and accessible during your stay.

Riad l’Oiseau du Paradis — extensive guest feedback

Riad l’Oiseau du Paradis on Booking.com lists an indoor pool, hammam, restaurant and roof terrace. Its page showed 9.4/10 from more than 2,300 reviews.

Its strength is not pretending to be a resort; it adds a plunge pool and wellness facilities to a central riad with a very large amount of guest feedback.

Check: the actual dimensions and exposure of the pool. Photos often tell you more than the simple “pool” filter.

Riad Palais Sebban — two pools and a rooftop

Riad Palais Sebban on Booking.com is in Laksour, roughly five minutes on foot from Jemaa el-Fna. Booking.com showed 9.2/10 from more than 1,700 reviews and listed two pools, a spa, hammam and panoramic terrace.

Why choose it: the common spaces are a genuine part of the experience. On a three- or four-night stay, that may matter more than finding a slightly larger pool elsewhere.

How to avoid a disappointing “pool”

Before booking, open the photos and confirm:

  1. whether the pool is indoor, outdoor or in an open courtyard;
  2. whether it is heated;
  3. whether it is a shallow plunge pool or something you can actually swim in;
  4. whether children can use it;
  5. whether access is unrestricted during the day;
  6. whether there is enough surrounding space to sit or lie down.
